Today marks the one year anniversary of Love for Lambs and I am very excited to recap this amazing journey and hopes for what's to come! If you want to read about our backstory, you can find it under our "About" tab.
One year ago, we decided to start a program collecting stuffed animals to donate to first responders in our area. We did a lot of research and learned all of the requirements for donating and created a system for collection and distribution.
We have had a lot of support from the community! Multiple schools and companies have ran toy drives for us and this year we helped support two Teddy Bear Tosses. Currently, our donations have been going to the police department but one of our major goals for 2020 is to donate to the paramedics and firefighters (more on that to come). We are also trying to navigate the nonprofit sector, so right now we do not take any donations other than stuffed animals.
I am so thankful for all of the support we have received this year, and I am super excited to start this blog to keep everyone updated as we continue this journey. Our next big event will be a middle school Teddy Bear Toss on November 15th!
